And we thought living on the 35th floor between the George Washington Bridge and the Manhattanville Bus Depot exposed us to poor air quality!

Here are some highlights from the article:
"It's not that Pittsburgh has gotten worse; it's that Los Angeles has gotten better," Nolen said. "If the trend continues, Pittsburgh will top two lists (soot and smog), and LA will only be leading the nation in ozone."
"When you think of the impact of ozone on our respiratory tracts, imagine putting acid right in your eye. It's that corrosive," said Tony Gerber, a pulmonary specialist and assistant professor at the University of California, San Francisco. "This corrosiveness causes severe irritation and leads to problems like asthma attacks, coughing, wheezing, chest pain and even death."
What the hell, Pittsburgh? I had heard that you were cleaning up your sooty ways, but now I find that you were just playing me. New York City has better air but butcher-shop hospitals. Pittsburgh has killer air but great hospitals. Where is there a large city with clean air and excellent hospitals?
Right now, I need it to stop (acid) raining because I have errands to run, and I had been planning on a nice walk.
